• MEETING DATES : - meeting dates & times announced monthly

- Executive Board & Advisor meet once a week

- entire Committee (including representatives at large) meet twice a month

• Officers elected and representatives chosen

  COMPOSITION & FUNCTIONS:

The Student Council Executive Board Officers at Park Middle School comprise of:

• President
• Vice-President
• Recording Secretary
• 2nd Vice-President
• Corresponding Secretary
• Treasurer

All above positions for the school year are filled through elections held at the end of the previous school year.

The Council Officers head one of the 3 main committees:

• Spirit - President and Vice-President
• Dance - Vice-President and Corresponding Secretary
• School Store - Secretary and Treasurer

The President attends a Summer Leadership Camp.

MEETINGS:

The Executive Board & Advisor meet once a week to set agenda for meetings and discuss new or old business. This helps to develop leadership qualities.

The entire Committee (including representatives at large) meet twice a month to discuss meeting agenda items and committee reports. This encourages input from the entire 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grades.

The Work Sessions once a week discuss new or on-going projects. These include the Spirit Committee, Dance Committee, School Store, and Fund-Raisers. Participation of representatives is encouraged.

EVENTS & ACTIVITIES:

• Three dances per year for 7th/8th grades including 8th grade dance in June.
• Tee Shirt Sales
• Food Drives
• Toy Drive
• School Spirit Week
• Student/Faculty Game
• Faculty Appreciation Week
